Kerala, a state situated on the tropical Malabar Coast of southwestern India, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Named as one of the ten paradises of the world by National Geographic Traveler, Kerala is famous especially for its ecotourism initiatives and beautiful backwaters.

Pickup from Calicut airport / railway station upon your arrival. You will then drive to Wayanad. The 85-kilometer distance is covered in around 3 hours. On your way, you get to experience the amazing view of the Ghat road viewpoint. You could also stop to catch a glimpse of the famous “Changala maram.” Check in to the resort at Wayanad and spend the next couple of hours relaxing. (Depends on your arrival time) After freshening up, you can set out on a sightseeing tour. You can visit the Pookkodu lake and spend some time boating. You will also visit Pazhassi Raja Tomb and Pazhassi Raja Museum Mananthavady and Kuruvadweep – a series of islands formed on the Kabini river. Overnight stay at the resort with Dinner.

  • After breakfast from the hotel/homestay, sightseeing to Kuruva Island, these are small islands located on tributaries of the river Kabani. Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the best places in Kerala for sighting wild elephants. Other than elephant herds, there is a good chance to spot bison, deer, monkeys, giant squirrels, and a range of other animals. Tigers and leopards are present here.

    Thirunalli Temple is the only temple in the world where devotees can perform all the rituals related to one’s life, starting from birth to death and life after death. It is one of the most ancient temples in Kerala. It is believed that here the prathishta of Lord Vishnu was performed by Lord Brahma.

  • After freshening up and having breakfast at the homestay, the sightseeing continues to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. A heart-shaped lake on the way to the top of the peak is a major tourist attraction, and trekking is about 4 km. Next, moving to Soochipara Waterfalls, which is a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by Deciduous, Evergreen, and Montane forests. Locally referred to as Soochipara ("Soochi" meaning "Needle" and "Para" meaning "Rock"). In the evening, return to the homestay for dinner and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, the next morning, we check out of the resort and proceed towards Calicut in time for your flight/train.
